Fanlight Windows

Fanlight Windows

Letting light into your hallway and getting creative with it was the hallmark of the Georgian period.

The fanlight became very successful during the Georgian period and an iconic feature of the house frontage, contrasting well with the symmetrical & linear rows of windows. The doorway gave the Georgian house its character so whether you used stained glass, stone or metal to create your fanlight, sometimes referred to as sunlight, went a long way to enhancing your status. We have some beautiful examples in stock from each period – the fan light was not restricted to the Georgian period alone. To brighten your hallway and add a historical sense of character to your home take a look at what we have rescued for reuse. A touch of front door stained glass makes all the difference to the personality your house adopts!

We have less fanlight windows in the warehouse than we do stained glass panels as they are considerably rarer. However, we do have some very charming examples that are well worth a look at.
